BiATHLON TEaM

702 Lynx Squadron has a history of strong performances at biathlon competitions locally, regionally, and nationally. Cadets participate in air rifle and .22 shooting practice as well as skiing practice and cross-training. Cadets are encouraged to participate in local biathlon training clubs outside of what is provided at the squadron. The initial zone competition involves running and shooting air rifles. At the provincial competition as well as national competition (when offered), the cadets shoot .22 rifles and ski.
702 Lynx Squadron is proud of our alumni who were chosen to represent New Zealand in an International Competition in 2014. Tu Clothier and Leah Clothier with their coach Mike Clothier had the opportunity to participate in this very prestigious international competition.
Recently our cadets participated in the regional biathlon competition in the 2016 / 2017 training year.
